Most of Chick-fil-A’s chicken items are indeed gluten-free, including their classic chicken sandwich when ordered with a gluten-free bun. However, it’s important to note that while the chicken itself is gluten-free, some menu items may contain gluten or be prepared in areas where cross-contamination could occur, so individuals with celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity should always consult with staff and exercise caution.
Protein source: Chicken is a good source of lean protein, which is essential for muscle building and repair.
No trans fats: Chick-fil-A uses peanut oil for frying, which doesn’t contain trans fats.
Grilled options: Chick-fil-A offers grilled chicken options, which are lower in calories and fat compared to fried versions.
Customizable: You can customize your order to make it healthier, such as removing the bun or choosing a side salad instead of fries.
Allergen-friendly options: Chick-fil-A provides allergen information and offers gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions.
Portion control: The standard chicken sandwich is relatively moderate in size compared to some fast-food competitors.
Lower sodium options: Some menu items have less sodium compared to similar fast-food options.
Fresh ingredients: Chick-fil-A claims to use fresh, never frozen chicken.Remember, while these points highlight some positives, frequent consumption of fast food is generally not recommended for optimal health. A balanced diet with a variety of whole foods is always the best approach to nutrition.
People with severe chicken allergies
Individuals with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease (unless ordering gluten-free options)
Vegans and vegetarians
Those following a halal or kosher diet (as Chick-fil-A is not certified for these dietary restrictions)
People with severe soy allergies (as some menu items contain soy)
Individuals on a low-sodium diet (as fast food tends to be high in sodium)
Those trying to avoid processed foods
People with dairy allergies (unless ordering items without cheese or dairy-based sauces)
Individuals following specific religious practices that prohibit eating certain meats or food prepared in certain ways
Those with peanut allergies (while Chick-fil-A uses peanut oil, they claim it’s refined and should be safe for most people with peanut allergies, but caution is advised)
People trying to reduce their intake of saturated fats
Individuals on strict calorie-controlled dietsRemember, these are general guidelines, and individual needs may vary. It’s always best to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for personalized dietary advice.

What is Tolerase® G?
A new Approach for People with Gluten Sensitivity:
Explore the Science and Benefits of Tolerase® G.
Relief from Gluten Sensitivity
In the fight against gluten, there is a unique supplement that stands out: Little Helpers anti-gluten pills with 100% Tolerase® G.
This specific enzyme, Tolerase® G, a patented endopeptidase specific for proline, was developed by Royal DSM and has been scientifically proven to be effective in breaking down gluten residues ( 1) . Furthermore, research has shown that Aspergillus niger prolyl endoprotease (AN-PEP), an enzyme closely related to Tolerase® G, can break down gluten so effectively that it barely reaches the duodenum, potentially eliminating gluten toxicity ( 2) ( 3 ) .
On this page we explain why we are so enthusiastic about this supplement, supported by scientific research.
What is Gluten?
Gluten is a group of proteins found primarily in grains such as wheat, barley, and rye. These complex proteins give shape, strength, and texture to bread and other grain products. However, gluten is difficult to digest because it is rich in proline, a non-essential amino acid. This is why about 13% of the world’s population is sensitive to gluten in their diet (1).
How Tolerase® G Works
It is important to note that Tolerase G is designed to have optimal activity in the difficult conditions of the stomach. Its effectiveness on the digestion of gluten in the stomach and duodenum has been scientifically proven ( 1 ).
Studies have shown that a newly identified prolyl endoprotease derived from Aspergillus niger can effectively break down gluten proteins. This enzyme works optimally at a pH of 4–5, remains stable at pH 2, and is completely resistant to digestion by pepsin ( 2 ). Furthermore, research has shown that Aspergillus niger prolyl endoprotease (AN-PEP) accelerates the breakdown of gluten in the stomach so much that very little gluten reaches the duodenum ( 3 ). This suggests that co-administration of AN-PEP with a meal containing gluten could potentially eliminate gluten toxicity, allowing people to (occasionally) abandon their strict gluten-free diet ( 3 ).
